Who to watch: Ole Miss v. Pitt (Compass Bowl)

Compass Bowl

(otherwise known as the game with two VEEERY under the radar teams for the 2013 season)

Say it with me–in a French accent– Dooonte Moooncrief!

P.S.  I think this might be my favorite video I’ve ever used.

Ole Miss

Donte Moncrief, #12, Sophomore, WR

In a feeble 2011 Ole Miss passing game, Moncrief posted an above average productivity score of 69, signalling that big things could be in store for the 2012.  This season, the Ole Miss wide receiver has increased his productivity score to 78–getting into potentially elite prospect territory– while nearly doubling all of his raw numbers like catches  (31 up to 60) receiving yards  (454 up to 948)  and touchdowns (4 up to 10).

His 10 receiving touchdowns in 2012 rank near the top of my SEC database trailing names like Stevie Johnson (13), Sidney Rice (13),  Dwayne Bowe (12) and Robert Meachem (11).  And to be sure he’s not fattening up on the cupcakes, Moncrief hauled in 7 touchdowns in his four games against Texas, Texas A&M, LSU, and Mississippi State.

Further evidence that big things could be in store for this game against Pitt, Moncrief posted 13 catches, 334 yards, and 5 touchdowns in his final two games against LSU and Mississippi State.

Expect him to be among the best three receivers in the SEC in 2013.  Know the name now.  #FeedMoncrief
